League of Legends Worlds Analysis, Semifinals - SSW vs. SSB, Pre-Game

  Samsung Blue vs. Samsung White

Pre-game notes on SSB and SSW can be found here:

Everything mentioned about these teams in the above links apply to these matches as well. Read them for major notes about the teams.

Updates from Quarterfinals -

Samsung White are looking much more dominant that Samsung Blue. Not only from the Quarterfinals but also from even before in the Group Stages. They seem to have a true handle on this incarnation of League of Legends and outside of the one game against TSM that they slacked off, have put forth a very intimidating and strong performance. Being sister teams, this stronger performance bodes very well for Samsung White going into the Semi-finals. Champion pools, team compositions, map rotations, understanding enemy team compositions, strategies, objective focus, everything is looking in Samsung Whites favor with the likelihood of a surprise or different play style coming out of Samsung Blue.

Having said that, they are sister teams so anything can happen. They both no each other so well, that even with the dominating strength that Samsung White has show, it is possible for Samsung Blue to come out with the win, even as underdogs. However, I feel that, without some kind of real change to the team, that they have a slightly less chance than TSM or C9 did.

It's going to be a rough series for SSB. There is almost no way for them to ban out anyone on SSW. It's almost as if, the pick/ban phase is completely in SSW's favor, and that blind pick would just be a better bet for SSB than anything else, though we know that can't happen. Good luck SSB.
