Lane
Match-ups – Star Horn Royal Club
Top -
Maokai
should have a safe time top. This lane is fairly passive. Nidalee
will try to harass with auto attacks and spears but Maokai will be
able to sustain as long as he does not get hit by spears and hunted
by Nidalee. Maokai should not attempt to harass Nidalee, just farm
safely and only fight if Nidalee tries to go all-in. Danger point
will be when Nidalee picks up Trinity Force, but Maokai should have
started scaling his Rod of Ages at this point.
Mid -
Orianna
can control this lane well, having much better fight potential, the
downside though is that to do so, she will have to put herself in a
place to be vulnerable to ganks from Khazix. When Orianna does not
know where Khazix is, she should be playing safe and farming, however
when Khazix's position is known, Orianna can pick up her ball and go
for trade damage against Twisted Fate and push him away from the
creeps with her ball, standing between him and his own creep line.
By dodging Wild Cards and backing off properly from Pick-A-Card,
Orianna can deny a lot of CS on TF just through the pressure, and do
it to greater effect at level 6. Once again though, she must be very
wary of ganks, as Flash stun card will set Khazix up for the kill.
Bot -
Twitch/Janna
are going to get bullied by OMG's duo, and there is not much they can
do about it. The best bet for Twitch/Janna is just to be defensive,
dodging Thresh and using Janna's shield to block as much harassment
as possible from Lucian. Will need to be especially careful once
Twisted Fate hits level 6.
Jungle
-
Fiddlesticks
is going to be weak in the jungle, especially against Khazix and his
Isolation damage. Good news is that at least he can't stop drain,
though that will likely not be enough for Fiddlesticks to survive a
1v1, especially early. Fiddlesticks' core play is simply going to be
farm, yet to level 6, and then make plays/engagements against OMG's
team. Lots of pinks and an early sweeper will be key to controlling
vision.
Lane
Match-ups – OMG
Top -
Nidalee
has a nice safe lane against Maokai. She will be able to harass him,
out-sustain him if they fight trades (until she is out of mana), and
will have kill potential if she can land a spear and Hunt Maokai.
Will have her highest pressure point as soon as she picks up Trinity
Force. Must be aware of early Rengar ganks. Being pushed up too far
around level 2-4 could result in her getting caught by the CC and
slow of Maokai/Rengar.
Mid -
Twisted
Fate does not have much control over this lane. Orianna can bully
him out pretty easily and keep him from CS and having any kind of
lane pressure. Luckily, TF can attempt to poke and farm from range
with his Wild Cards, and hopefully get off a few Pick-A-Card hits for
some damage onto Orianna. The one safety net that Twisted Fate will
have, is the pressure he can put onto Orianna with the threat of a
gank from Khazix. Stun card into Khazix slow will be plenty to kill
Orianna if she is pushed up to pressure and deny Twisted Fate. TF
should be farming as best he can, getting to his gank potential at 6.
Alternately, Twisted Fate can try to bluff Orianna and play
aggressive, keeping her worried about the threat of Khazix.
Bot -
Lucian/Thresh
should definitely be looking to find the 2v2 lane. They can
completely control and bully the duo lane from the very start, and
continue to for the entire game. Really all there is to say about
it. Hooks/flays and Lucian damage will just overwhelm SHR's duo, and
they will have the backup of Twisted Fate when he reaches 6.
Jungle
-
Khazix
is going to be much stronger than Fiddlesticks in the jungle, and
should really look to bully him. Contesting every buff he can, and
counter-jungling as much as possible. A Sight Stone might be a good
buy this match, just to increase how much vision on Fiddlesticks his
team can keep, which will be essential for denying Fiddlesticks
ability to gank.
Team
Composition/Strategy – Star Horn Royal Club
*Win
Condition – I heard you like circles. Massive, massive AoE
team-fight ability. 5V5 team-fight and get those Fiddlesticks
engagements.
Incoming
circle of doom. SHR's strategy is super transparent. Get those 5v5
fights and decimate OMG's team. That's it really. SHR just need to
get to 6 and then find the right fights. Vision control will be huge
as will manipulating OMG into the right spots. A nice bonus through,
is that Twitch is great at finding picks and at stopping split-push,
so SHR have this available to them, if OMG focus hard on the
split-push. SHR have the ability to force OMG into the team-fights,
they just have to make them count.
Team
Composition/Strategy – OMG
*Win
Condition – Ward. Ward some more. Ward again. Buy a Locket or two.
Pick on Fiddles in the jungle.
Did I
mention warding? In all seriousness though, that is going to be a
huge key to this match. They need to spot Fiddlesticks out and they
have to stop him from being able to get into their team. The vision
war is going to be huge. Good early invades into the jungle will
really set Fiddlesticks behind, but SHR will be watching for this.
OMG must coordinate as a team to make the invades happen. No matter
what point in the game it is, a bad team-fight could get OMG ACED.
Nidalee will need to get strong in the split-push, and carry around a
lot of wards. She will need to spot out both Fiddlesticks and
Twitch, as they can shut down her split-push quickly. Great
reactions will be needed by Twisted Fate if he plans to help out
Nidalee. If Nidalee can get ahead enough to split-push, OMG may want
to take control of the side of the jungle she is near, and ward it
like madmen. Lean towards that side as they harass the mid turret,
and be prepared to run in the massive vision direction when trouble
heads their way. OMG are going to have to be able to move to help
Nidalee and be able to do so in safety against Fiddlesticks.
Game
Notes -
OMG go
for the typical invade onto SHR's blue against Fiddlesticks, however
SHR are ready. OMG had a split moment where they could see that SHR
were in the bush, but they miss it and run straight into a 5 man
Janna Tornado. SHR get 2 kills for 0. This was just bad play by
OMG, they had the warning, and they face check into the bush against
a Janna.
With
Twisted Fate having used his Flash. Twitch and Janna make a gank
right at the start. And force Twisted Fate to base, right as the
lanes start and has to blow Ghost.
OMG
lane swap for some reason, to let Thresh roam maybe? And SHR take an
early dragon.
OMG are
able to find Fiddlesticks in the jungle and get a kill with
Thresh/Khazix.
Orianna,
seeing Fiddlesticks coming in, hits level 6 and instantly uses her
ultimate, barely catching Twisted Fate in surprise. Twisted Fate
does get away, but turns around thinking he can fight, but Janna
comes in and the fear+knock-up allows Orianna to pick up the kill,
just barely.
Janna
getting assists and Thresh not has really set him behind.
Even
with OMG being behind, they have done a good job keeping Fiddlesticks
behind.
A very
patient Khazix waits for Maokai to push forward and OMG 3 man gank
him for the kill. Gives SHR good damage onto the mid turret though.
OMG's
duo is able to get a great hook on Twitch, and win the 2v2 fight from
behind. However, it lasts long and Fiddlesticks is able to make it
top for clean up. OMG try to collapse, but Orianna catches them out.
Nidalee could have killed Fiddlesticks, but leaps away instead of
forward for the kill.
OMG
move into position for dragon, but do not attempt it, they should
have with Fiddlesticks ultimate down. Instead they wait till SHR
attempt it. Khazix does get the steal. A good Orianna ultimate keeps
OMG from retreating but it ends up being a death pit for SHR. OMG get
a 4 for 1 and Dragon. OMG do a good job of holding Fiddlesticks back
from his ultimate being effective. SHR really want to initiate onto
a team doing Dragon, not be initiated upon.
Nidalee
ends up 1v1ing Maokai in the top lane, will also earn her the turret.
Twisted
Fate uses his ultimate to save bottom turret.
OMG put
a lot of pressure into the bottom side jungle of SHR and are rewarded
with kills onto the duo of SHR. Maokai TP's in and the fight turns
into Fiddlesticks and Maokai diving in with Orianna back up. They do
go 2 for 2 in this, and save the turret, but the fight is 4 for 2
over all, and OMG take the dragon.
OMG are
holding a 5k gold lead, SHR will need to pull off their insane
team-fight to come back. I feel that Twitch should be looking for a
pick on Nidalee to deny some of the split-push. However OMG move to
man push the middle T2 turret. They do back off when SHR group up to
defend.
SHR
catch Twisted Fate in their jungle, but Fiddlesticks using both his
fear and silence and TF is able to escape using his ultimate.
Fiddlesticks
tries to make a solo catch onto Thresh, but it does not do much
damage. Now Fiddlesticks ultimate is down and OMG can put huge
pressure onto a turret.
Instead,
they split up, letting TF clear lanes while OMG take another Dragon.
OMG try
to split-push, looking to create an opportunity. The game is in
OMG's control, but it is very tense with Fiddlesticks and Twitch on
SHR. Slowly they try to get turret damage with Twisted Fate and
spend time whittling down SHR's defenses and hoping for a rotational
mistake to be made by SHR.
SHR try
to make a pick in the mid lane and Twitch/Orianna are so close to
getting two kills, but OMG do get away with low HP bars. Two
ultimates down for SHR give OMG a window, but they still have to
watch out for Fiddlesticks.
OMG are
able to get the bottom T2 turret with the Twisted Fate split-push.
The whole process takes 8-10 minutes.
OMG are
on top of the Dragon timer and kill it as soon as it spawns,
preventing SHR from being able to respond in time.
Lucian
is able to sneak the mid T2 inhibitor when SHR go for a pick on
Nidalee in the top lane.
Twisted
Fate is pushing top lane and SHR make a very bold decision to push
mid lane. Fiddlesticks is able to get into a great position and
since OMG's wards are on SHR's side of the jungle, they don't catch
him out. SHR dive into OMG's T2 mid turret and get 3 kills for 0,
able to get all of mid. 2 turrets and the inhibitor. With 3 down
they run to Baron. SHR take Baron, and 2 more kills, but OMG are
able to reach SHR and get 4 kills. Greedy by SHR, but something they
desperately needed. Even though they lose the top inhibitor, the
trade is huge for SHR, even as it is big for OMG.
OMG
back off after the inhibitor, and let a dragon go. SHR are able to
nab it and run.
Janna
picks up a very late Mejai's, very bad. There is so much more she
could pick up. Aegis or Mikael's for two, even just straight AP
would be better in this situation.
OMG
still have an 11.5k gold lead. However, against SHR's team that does
not matter, not until OMG decide to grab 2 MR items a piece, but the
likelihood of that is low.
OMG
head middle and try to start a fight with Twisted Fate ultimate when
Orianna is off to the side. A Great timed Janna Tornado into fear
stops Twisted Fate from using his Gold Card and prevents SHR from
getting caught. This draws OMG into a fight and SHR get off their
massive damage team-fight and take a 4 for 1 and rush down middle for
the win, but are only able to take the mid inhibitor and both Nexus
turrets.
OMG use
Twisted Fate ultimate and Nidalee TP to catch 3 members of SHR in the
retreat. Now SHR are in trouble. OMG are able to take both top and
middle inhibitor. OMG get over greedy going for the bottom inhibitor
as well, and it lets Orianna/Maokai/Fiddlesticks destroy them,
getting 3 kills in a 4v5 and then SHR run middle for the win and with
an open Nexus they have an easy win from here.
End
Game Notes -
That
second dragon by SHR was too forced and it really put them onto the
back foot instead of being in decent control of the game.
OMG
played great after that, slowly controlling the map and avoiding the
team-fight prowess of SHR, unfortunately all it took was 1 unexpected
play by SHR and then some over zealousness at the end by OMG.
SHR
getting the team-fight in the middle, at OMG's T2 mid turret was
really bold and it payed off well.
What
OMG should have done -
The
level 1 fight hurt them, but they were able to recover from it and
take the lead. They then controlled the map. They did get caught at
their T2 mid turret, a slight lapse in vision control and the
unexpected nature of SHR's bold play caught OMG off guard. OMG were
able to recover though and even take 2 inhibitors in time against
SHR.
OMG got
greedy though, and worried about another team-fight disaster that had
just happened, and try to take a third inhibitor. OMG should have
just backed off, regrouped, and then made their way slowly into SHR's
base using the super creeps to their advantage.
Going
forward, OMG just need to keep it up. This game was well played, and
only lost by a small mistake and some over zealousness. Be smarter
about the level 1, that was just bad play, walking into Janna.
