Lane
Match-ups – Star Horn Royal Club
Top -
Ryze
has a major advantage over Mundo and while it will be hard to kill
him, Ryze will be able to bully him away from lane while having
almost 0 fear of Mundo being able to fight back and kill him. Ryze
should be very happy farming up and scaling his mana items safely and
potentially getting a kill with Lee Sin ganks.
Mid -
Orianna
will have the pressure in this match-up for the first 2 levels, able
to really put the pressure onto Fizz and deny him farm. Once level 3
hits, things will be tougher for Orianna, as Fizz can harass and hop
out. Just as against Yasuo, Orianna will need to keep the ball close
in order to guarantee safety and return damage against Fizz. Barrier
will almost be essential for surviving level 6-8 against Fizz's
all-ins. Hang back and farm with your ball when you have no
knowledge of Khazix, and stay close to your ball and harass Fizz when
Khazix is no where near. In the end, Orianna should be able to
out-farm Fizz and win the lane that way.
Bot -
Lucian
and Nami should be able to win the bottom lane, but it is a little
unlikely that they will be able to bully out TPA's duo, due to the
range and Janna shield. SHR's duo however, will have little to fear
and can try to bully and trade as much damage as possible, healing it
up with Nami sustain and preventing TPA from being able to fully
engage with the bubble deterrence.
Jungle
-
Standard
Worlds match-up. Lee Sin should look to farm mostly, mirroring
Khazix to 6. Should keep a watch on mid for Khazix ganks and top in
case Mundo goes low enough for a dive to be possible.
Lane
Match-ups – Taipei Assassins
Top -
Mundo
has a rough time against Ryze early on. He will get bullied in lane
but at least he will be able to regen over time and get CS with
cleavers. Once Mundo gets Spectre's Cowl things will turn around a
lot and Mundo will be really safe in the lane. It will be hard for
Mundo to get in against Ryze with Ryze's snare, but if he can land a
cleaver during a gank, Mundo and Khazix should be able to kill Ryze.
Mundo's biggest focus will be to farm up and be a massive tank in the
late game.
Mid -
Fizz is
going to have a hard time against Orianna, getting bullied early, and
having trades after level 3 that will only go even or in Orianna's
favor. However, if Orianna's ball is ever far away from her, that
gives Fizz the opportunity to get in some free harass and pole hop
away before the ball can move back to her or move to hit him. Look
for opportunities to all-in at level 6, saving pole hop to dodge
Orianna's ultimate. Getting this opportunity will be difficult, but
rewarding. Ganks onto top or bottom will yield more success, but
will sacrifice a lot of cs and tower damage.
Bot -
Tristana/Janna
can't really do much against SHR's lane, however they should be safe
enough with well timed shields to keep up their farm and be safe in
lane. Expect Lucian to be aggressive but do not fully engage against
him unless Nami bubble is down. Goal is to go even in lane.
Jungle
-
Farm
until level 6, farm some more. Look for opportunities against a
pushed bot lane or a pushed Ryze. Mid lane will be difficult to do
anything against, however once Fizz is 6, the damage from both should
be enough to kill Orianna before she can escape.
Team
Composition/Strategy – Star Horn Royal Club
*Win
Condition – Win lane, win game.
SHR
doesn't really have any specific play-style with their team
composition. They have picked solid champions in each lane and are
looking to win the game by their skill. The biggest thing they have
going for them is the strength of their duo lane. SHR should look to
use the duo power to get an early lead in lane and transition that
into pressure around the map. Ryze will provide late game power
while Orianna creates strong team-fight ability and Lee Sin can make
plays.
Team
Composition/Strategy – Taipei Assassins
*Win
Condition – Survive to the 30-45 minute mark and make it into late
game.
TPA is
a pure late game team. Mundo/Fizz/Tristana are all huge scaling
champions and Khazix out-scales Lee Sin as well. It is imperative
that TPA do not fall behind early, as that will just put them even
more behind during their weak mid-game. TPA must do everything they
can to delay the game, be it 2v1 lanes, fast-pushing tower trades, or
kill trades. TPA must delay and must not get too far behind
otherwise they will get destroyed.
Game
Notes -
SHR
predict the lane swap and send their duo top lane.
Lee Sin
takes TPA's red buff and makes an early gank against TPA's duo lane,
doing massive damage. Allows SHR's duo to tower dive Tristana soon
after. TPA's duo needed to stay together or back together. TPA's
duo is now far behind.
SHR's
duo bullies TPA's duo again and dives them, getting two kills,
however they are ganked while doing so and both die as well. Goes 2
for 2.
SHR
take the top turret pretty early and then move to take dragon.
SHR's
duo moves to bot lane and TPA's follow, they want to protect the
turret, but they are not able to do a strong job of it.
A
missed shark losses Fizz a kill.
SHR
take bot turret, able to put on the pressure with how ahead Lucian is
over Tristana.
TPA's
lack of wave clear lets SHR roll through TPA's mid turret and
continue later on.
Fizz
tries to 1v1 Orianna, but goes in at level 10 against level 11 as
well as items behind. Orianna gets an easy kill onto Fizz.
SHR
push turrets hard, knowing TPA cannot do anything against them, and
have nothing to wave clear with.
TPA can
only try to get surprise attacks now, but it will have to be fast and
with number advantage.
TPA
take the mid inhibitor at 21 minutes with an 11k gold lead.
Not too
much to note now. The biggest thing to note, which is actually
important, is that SHR are not dancing around baron. They know they
do not need it and take TPA's base instead, exactly what you should
be doing when you are ahead, and the other team cannot wave clear to
defend.
Item
Notes -
Tristana
goes Avarice Blade while already getting dominated.
End
Game Notes -
Lack of
scouting for SHR's duo and Lee Sin is what got TPA into a bad spot
early on.
TPA got
really behind too early, especially their duo lane. Without any way
to stop a push and a weaker mid-game and team-fight ability, there
was nothing TPA could do to come back.
What
TPA should have done -
TPA
picked too many late-scaling champions and had no way of delaying to
that point. Trading out Tristana for Corki or Fizz for Xerath or
Ziggs. Any champion with some wave clear and better early-mid game
power would have helped TPA move into the late game. As it stood,
TPA had nothing to save them from falling early.
In the
game, they had to get the 2v1 and/or watch out for Lee Sin. They
sent their duo top, but did not watch their red buff or have Khazix
start top with the duo. Immense amount of pressure and information
was just given up by TPA and it really really hurt TPA, pretty much
losing them the game at level 1.
