League of Legends Worlds Analysis, Finals - SSW vs. SHR, Pre-Game

Star Horn Royal Club vs. Samsung White

Pre-game notes on SHR and SSW can be found here:

Everything mentioned about these teams in the above links apply to these matches as well. Read them for major notes about the teams.

Notes I made before the Finals -

I really expect SSW to dominate the finals. A white wash with SSW winning all the matches is not unexpected. They have the strongest individual skill and as such all the other regions have been playing to the Korean meta-game the entire time of Worlds. It's a little bit unfortunate that no one has been trying to play around, or completely bypass the style that SSW has been playing. Instead, they've been trying to beat SSW at their own game.

TSM is the only team who has taken a game off of SSW, and while it can be said that SSW was messing around, TSM played great in game 4 as well while totally doing nothing in game 1/2. This entire worlds, every region has decided to "play the Korean meta-game" instead of playing to their own strengths. It's been very unfortunate.

I expect Star Horn to be toppled by Samsung White, because their regions are so close. In my mind, TSM had the best chance to topple SSW, and now that that is over, SSW are going to clean sweep the Finals, with SHR playing the same game as SSW, but having weaker individual skill.

Having said that. I would love to see SHR take a page from Kabum! and play a team focused composition and style, focusing on synergy and team play to topple individual skill. Kabum really are the heroes of this Worlds.

Anyways, the Finals are in the hands of SSW, and its up to SHR to come up with ways to win, and honestly, there are not many of them. They play the same style as SSW, and are outmatched in individual skill. However there is one strategy that I'd love to see SHR try. Ban out all the junglers. It will require baiting out at least one jungle ban from SSW, but if SHR can get Elise/Jarvan/Lee Sin/Khazix/Rengar banned, Insec has shown that he has a huge jungle pool, and this could give SHR the advantage. I feel that this is the only way that SHR can win, and they should be able to pull it off at every blue side pick.

Updates from Semi-finals -

The above is pretty much entirely true. I don't know what SHR could even be able to do. I feel that they have to hit some pretty “gimmicky” pick/ban phases to even tickle SSW. Ban out nothing? Or Ban out all junglers. There really is no other role to target.

There's, not much SHR can do. I'd really try some crazy jungle bans/pick phases.

Lane Match-ups – Star Horn Royal Club

Top -
Maokai will be able to bully Rumble early and will be extremely safe. Will not be able to kill Rumble early though. Must build early MR to outlast Rumble's all in damage as it grows, especially when Rumble gets his double Mpen items. Needs Jarvan to gank for the kill, great CC on both and enough damage. Needs to be wary of the counter gank, as Rumble/Khazix damage will be much higher.

Mid -
Ryze can look to bully Orianna in the mid-lane, but he will have to be careful when running in, as Orianna's ball has better range and can be used to zone Ryze. If Ryze can get in to Orianna, particularly when her ball is far away from her, then he can get off some good trade damage before Orianna is able to fully capitalize on his aggression. As the match goes one, Ryze can become an even stronger bully, once he gets some tankiness and his level 6. He must be vary of Orianna's sustained damage before Ryze is able to move into his own powerful sustained damage.

Bot -
Lucian/Thresh will have a slight advantage in this lane able to get good bully damage and if Thresh is able to land a hook or get in for a flay, this will only increase. Lucian dodging Corki's Q will be huge in winning the lane, as it will be a lot of missed damage for OMG, especially when Janna's shield is on Corki. At 6, they will have to watch out for Corki missiles and be wary of the disengage from Janna if they try to go all in.

Jungle -
Pantheon has strong early-game, even more so against Khazix and he should be looking to use it. Every lane has great follow-up to a Pantheon gank, with CC and solid damage in each lane. Pantheon has tons of options of where to go, be it pre or post level 6, even when tower diving.

Lane Match-ups – OMG

Top -
Rumble can attempt to bully Maokai early, but should not have too much success. Maokai will heal a lot from his passive due to Rumble's spell spamming. Rumble does win the all-in trades at the early levels, but since he lacks sustain Maokai will come out on top over time, this does however, mean that Maokai does not have kill threat on Rumble unless Rumble is significantly lower on HP. Once Rumble is able to get his double Mpen items (Sorcerer's Boots and Haunting Guise) he will have kill potential on Maoki, especially so if Maoki does not get early MR. Very vulnerable to a gank, but very high damage output if Khazix is there for the counter-gank.

Mid -
Orianna is going to have a difficult time against Ryze, not because she is at a disadvantage, but because she has to use her ball well to keep Ryze from getting off his easy damage combo. Proper ball zoning will be essential, and Orianna should look to use the ball more as a zoning tool than anything else, farming with her auto attacks and keeping Ryze's down because of his short range. As some AP comes into the picture for her, Orianna can look to fast clear waves and then roam or pick up extra CS in the jungle.

Bot -
Corki/Janna can go even with Thresh/Lucian, as long as they play offensively and use Janna's shield for it's damage and not as a defensive tool. Janna will also have to be on point with her Tornado's to deny Thresh's engage if he gets a hook, and to just disrupt Lucian when he tries to harass. Mostly this lane will just go even, with skill determining the winner. At level 6, Corki can sit back and get poke onto Lucian and Thresh, but they must be ready and wary of Lucian going for the all-in fight as soon as he is able to.

Jungle -
Khazix is going to have a rough time against Pantheon, not because he cannot fight him 1v1, but rather because Pantheon has such strong ganks, and has great follow-up in every lane. Khazix cannot predict where Pantheon will go and will have a tough time finding his own ganks or counter-ganks. It may be the best of a bad situation to just protect Rumble, and then use his power to take dragon and other objectives.

Team Composition/Strategy – Star Horn Royal Club

*Win Condition – Phalanx, forward march! Show a strong early-game with Pantheon and transition in the mid/late-game with brute force of this massive 3.5 man front-line. Get picks with every lane.

I really love SHR's team composition here. They are such a beefy front-line on top of having solid damage in Ryze and Lucian, burst in Maokai's ultimate, and huge huge huge pick potential. SHR went from 1 hard CC last game, to a potential 4 hard CC's. There are tools to catch people out and lock them down on SHR that just were not present last match. SHR have everything they need to win this match. Their strategy should be, look to get a strong early-game with Pantheon, as it moves to the mid-game, vision control and pushing multiple lanes will allow them to catch OMG in rotations and get kills. With the early gold lead, SHR can move this into dragon fights. As long as SHR do not dive deep onto Rumble/Orianna before solid MR comes out, SHR should be fine. If OMG try to engage on them, SHR can simply engage right back and move out of the Rumble ultimate that was used for engagement. With enough of a lead, SHR can just brute force their way to anything they want.

Team Composition/Strategy – OMG

*Win Condition – Poke and disengage. Desperately try to use the power-spike of Corki/Rumble to get a mid-game lead at dragon.

I'm unsatisfied with the OMG team. They are a little scattered in their plan, though they have good disengage. Unfortunately, that will require SHR to make the dives, and OMG do not have enough poke to really force SHR to make that move. If they can bait SHR into an engagement, then Orianna/Rumble ultimates can create huge damage, allowing Corki and Khazix to clean up. OMG have to play defensively and wait for SHR to make a mistake. I wish OMG had picked up Ziggs in the mid lane, or even Xerath/Jayce. They need some way to deal with the brute force and pick potential of SHR, without getting near them, and that still allows them to play aggressive. OMG could have had great poke and disengage with a different mid lane champion. As it stands, OMG are going to have to rely on SHR to put themselves in a bad spot, rather than creating one. The best hope is going to lie at the early dragons, and in potentially just, taking over one side of SHR's jungle and committing everything to forcing them through there.

Game Notes -

I wish Orianna was Ziggs. Ziggs has great long range AoE against a dive/death-ball composition as well as providing wave clear and zoning.

Remember how last match OMG had all the CC and the tools to make plays. Now the roles are reversed and OMG is on the back foot.

Ryze trades ghost in mid for Orianna Flash. This gives a huge gank opportunity for Pantheon in mid now.

SHR's duo push Rumble out of lane, making sure that he cannot get ahead of Maokai.

Rumble returns to the bot lane, even though OMG have 3 and 1 mid to the guaranteed 2 bottom, and the possibility of 4. Rumble ends up giving First Blood to Pantheon.

With the lane pushing towards OMG's top lane, Pantheon looks to protect Maokai up top. Maokai is able to escape, but has to burn Flash.

Corki moves to the 2v2 lane with an unfinished item, where as Lucian returns with a pick-ax. Bad timing for OMG.

SHR make a 4 man dive onto the bottom turret, they get collapsed upon, but because of their timing advantage, and all of their lock-down, SHR come out ahead with 3 to 1. CC vs. no CC coming up huge.

A great setup from SHR earn them the kill on Khazix. Watch where Pantheon ultimates, cutting off Khazix.

SHR are able to turn this into dragon, OMG move to fight and it goes 2 for 2, but SHR do get dragon.

All the cards are in SHR's favor now, and its up to them to win or throw the game, not up to OMG anymore.

Not sure what more is going to be worth commenting on from this point, but lets see.

Rumble ends up pushing the top lane too far and gets picked off by SHR. As SHR move to middle from top, OMG do get a quick kill on Thresh, and back out.

SHR make a dive on top, which does cost them Thresh, but they get 3 kills and the turret out of it. Thresh should have flashed up, not down and away. I don't think it would have made the difference though, but it would have been close.

SHR play the game well, rotating for towers, looking for picks, and just growing into the point where they have enough defenses to ignore OMG's damage.

If I was OMG, I'd say its time to just, make a super desperate and unexpected move. Find a point in the match, where you can rush bottom as a 5 man team. Say when the lane is already slow pushing. Dive into the jungle of SHR, ward up, take the bottom turret, and the force SHR to either fight in the jungle or the T2 death turrets, or to just simply trade objectives. They can't simply do nothing, or they are going to lose 100% guaranteed.

SHR even make some bold and honestly bad plays that leave them vulnerable, but they are so far ahead that it doesn't matter and gets them an even stronger lead.

SHR are drawing this game out, but it is super safe this way, instead of diving into OMG. SHR could make some riskier turret pushes and dives, but there is no reason for it. They will scale better, they can control the map, and OMG have nothing they can really do.

End Game Notes -

Again we see the strength of picks and CC against a team who has none, and who has not built to avoid them.

What OMG should have done -

They got a bit baited by the Ryze/Maokai picks, expecting to be able to get Maokai. After seeing the picks from SHR, OMG really should picked up a more poke/AoE oriented mid laner. They needed a way to force SHR to dive before they could dive without worry. Without a solid form of siege, the disengage from Rumble/Janna is pretty useless.

Lane Match-ups – OMG

Top -
I feel that Maokai is going to the weaker one in this lane, however, both being tanks it will not matter all the much. Maokai should be able to farm up, even push Mundo into his tower, however he will not be able to kill Mundo and should Maokai go for a trade, he will have less sustained damage than Mundo, who can stick to Maokai with his cleavers. Maokai should look to farm in this lane, and push Mundo back, trying to deny CS at the tower while avoiding any major fights with him. Maokai will scale into his tankiness earlier than Mundo anyways, and should make sure to not give Mundo an advantage.

Mid -
Twisted Fat is going to be looking to ignore Zilean almost completely. Getting to the point of one or two shotting creep waves will be Twisted Fates goal, able to clear the wave and then run into hiding for roams or ganks with his ultimate. If Zilean tries to harass, then TF can stun/Wild Cards to keep him at bay or trade evenly. Should look to lock in a stun card anytime Zilean uses his speed up.

Bot -
An even match-up in the both lane. Corki/Thresh can turn the lane in their favor if Thresh can land a good hook, allowing Corki to guarantee his Q and get off solid damage from his other sources. Corki will have to save his dash to dodge Nami ultimate/bubble though, otherwise the trade will end up in SHR's favor, due to the sustain of Nami. At 6, Corki will need to poke down SHR's duo and watch out for Lucian being extremely aggressive with his burst into ultimate.

Jungle -
Lee Sin vs. Khazix, not much to say about it other than its even, with the difference being more early power for Lee Sin and better scaling for Khazix. Lee Sin should look to gank for any of his lanes really, all of them offering follow up potential. Keeping Mundo down will probably yield the best overall results though and should be focused if possible.

Lane Match-ups – Star Horn Royal Club

Top -
Mundo is actually going to be stronger in this lane, but not by a whole lot. Mostly Mundo will be looking to farm, wait till level 6 and Spectre's Cowl, and then he can start to really bully Maokai, as his regen and magic resistance will be high enough to ignore most of Maokai's damage while Mundo's sustained damage will be high enough to all-in Maokai and push him out of lane. Should really look to punish Maokai as soon as possible, as Mundo will take longer to provide as much benefit in a team-fight, even if he can win the 1v1.

Mid -
Zilean is kind of countered in this match-up, not by getting pushed out or killed by TF, but mostly by being ignored by him. Zilean will be able to farm pretty freely, however he will be unable to keep TF from farming or ganking with his ultimate. Zilean should just look to hard push, going for TF's tower, which will be the best way to keep down TF's options.

Bot -
Lucian/Nami will be running into an even match-up, but one that they will eventually out last with sustain, so long as they don't take uneven trade damage. Lucian will have to save his dash to dodge Thresh hooks, or Corki Q's if he can dash and still keep Thresh's hook blocked by creeps. Nami will want to save her bubble for protection, while helping Lucian get damage off her E. At 6, all-ins will be more effect for them, and they should seek to try to bully OMG's duo before Corki can poke them down.

Jungle -
Lee Sin vs. Khazix, not much to say about it other than its even, with the difference being more early power for Lee Sin and better scaling for Khazix. Khazix is not going to have much opportunity for ganking, unless a lane is heavily pushed forward. With mid most likely playing safe, and bot lane running even, Khazix should farm and look to protect Mundo or gank a pushed Maokai.

Team Composition/Strategy – OMG

*Win Condition – Play solidly. Use Twisted Fate to get picks in the mid-game and turn it into a lead. Picks on bottom lane will lead to dragon and more gold advantage. 5V5 team-fight with a solid lead.

OMG have a pretty solid team this go around. Strong early and mid-game from Lee Sin/Corki. Great gank ability in the mid-game with Twisted Fate, and tons of pick potential with Thresh/TF/Maokai to follow up snare. Their team-fight is strong with lots of lock-up and CC as well as a solid tank, poke and burst. The sustained DPS is a bit of a problem, however with all the lock-down that they have, it is less important than in game 2. OMG should be able to poke safely with TF and Corki, if SHR try to engage, OMG can easily hold off Mundo and then lock-down Khazix if he goes in. As long as OMG do not get punished early or make mistakes, they should be able to move into a stronger mid-game and take it to the win.

Team Composition/Strategy – Star Horn Royal Club

*Win Condition – Outplay OMG and get a lead to be able to make use of the Zilean ultimate and power through the lock-down of OMG.

I think this is going to be a tough one for SHR. SHR only have Nami to provide any kind of lock-down where as they are going into four champions that have some kind of CC. Zilean ultimate is going to run into the problem of bringing someone back up into a bunch of CC. SHR are going to have to outplay OMG to win. They do have some good tools for this. Zilean speed-up, good disengage, some resets, and a big tank, but it just doesn't seem enough against targeted CC of OMG, and the lack of any poke from SHR. SHR are going to have to be the ones engaging, but they are doing so into so much CC. Mundo is going to have to take the brunt of OMG, once again, and hope that Lucian/Khazix is able to do most of the work, as Zilean is going to have a rough time and probably be stuck bombing Mundo. If SHR can get an early lead anywhere, they should back off and take dragon before Corki's power-spike sets in. Generate some early gold to get Mundo into an item. Honestly, going to be a rough match for SHR.

Game Notes -

I feel that this game is going to be decided by either the top laner or the duo lane.

OMG are able to get a three buff start. SHR did not need to give this up, however they likely assumed that SHR started at their red buff.

SHR's duo is dominating OMG's duo.

OMG move to 5 man SHR's blue when Mundo's TP is down. OMG take the fight, but make a crucial mistake by not killing Lucian and turning on him when he resurrects. Instead of letting it be a 1 for 0 or 2 for 0, the fight goes 2-1 in OMG's favor, but Lucian is able to grab First Blood.

OMG catch out Zilean when he leaves lane, Twisted Fate ultimate coming up huge again.

SHR make a 3 man dive onto bot lane, but with just the Nami bubble, its not enough to quickly secure a kill. OMG TP and ultimate in, turning the fight into a 4v4 when Zilean joins as well. The whole event backfires and OMG are the ones who end up getting a kill.

OMG take a free dragon, being ahead and at a power-spike with Corki.

TF and Maokai get a catch on Zilean, SHR collapse and a small fight breaks out that goes 1 for 1, but it does let Lee Sin steal SHR's blue buff.

OMG are in complete control of this game. With a gold lead and with many more tools in their pocket than SHR.

OMG get some more picks and a small fight near the bottom T2 turret. OMG get 2 kills, and Lee Syndrome kicks in to give SHR 1. SHR do rush and get dragon after this though, a good play.

I was wrong about this game being decided by top/bot. Twisted Fate is the one controlling this game.

OMG start to run their 4-1 split-push, with Twisted Fate working to chip down turrets.

SHR try to engage a fight at the mid T2 turret while Twisted Fate takes bottom, but they can't quite get the fight they want, and OMG disengage and then turn around to take the fight themselves.

Not sure what SHR can do at this point. They don't have any tools to be coming back from behind. I'd almost want to see Lucian pick up a vampiric scepter and just split-push. Otherwise, they just have to hope for a rotation mistake by OMG and a pick, or a team-fight at Baron. Hell even an insane 5 man push on the bot lane totally ignoring OMG and going for a base trade would be worthwhile. Standard play is just going to get SHR a loss at this point.

OMG have the opportunity to 5 v 1 push the middle inhibitor for SHR but instead chase Zilean for days.

The game is pretty boring and has been for awhile. OMG are slowly winning and have almost nothing to fear. There is no more tension in this match.

End Game Notes -

This game was pretty boring. SHR's team composition really dictated their loss. They had almost 0 tools to use in this match. Unlike the previous match where Mundo was great, it was with Lulu, and it was into a team that had little lock-down and no front-line. The plan was no where near as good as it was into OMG's previous team.

What Star Horn Royal should have done -

Not pick Zilean. He's been bad in every role in most games. Having Zilean, as noted by the casters, they picked their mid lane too early and the Twisted Fate counter-pick really made Zilean useless in this match. In fact, if SHR had not prioritized Zilean, SHR could have picked up Thresh.

Inside of the game, SHR had to get an early lead and keep it. Their team had so very few tools for doing anything and only 1 champion who had hard CC. I hate to say it was a loss form champion select, but it really was. SHR set themselves up for failure. Weaker pick potential, weaker poke, weaker engage and disengage, weaker play potential, weaker team-fight. The only thing they have going for them, is some very, very minor late-game scaling potential.

I'd like to have seen SHR say, screw it, we are in trouble, lets do something crazy. Go for the super fast/deep push and 4 man a lane swap all the way to the inhibitor turret from the start. SHR had to do something early, as they really got a bad game from champion select.

Going forward, I'd say ban out Twisted Fate, or at least plan to counter-pick him (a rougher task on blue side). Get rid of him, pick up a strong early-game team in all lanes, and get that early lead that SHR know how to win with.

Lane Match-ups – Star Horn Royal Club

Top -
Maokai should have a safe time top. This lane is fairly passive. Nidalee will try to harass with auto attacks and spears but Maokai will be able to sustain as long as he does not get hit by spears and hunted by Nidalee. Maokai should not attempt to harass Nidalee, just farm safely and only fight if Nidalee tries to go all-in. Danger point will be when Nidalee picks up Trinity Force, but Maokai should have started scaling his Rod of Ages at this point.

Mid -
Orianna can control this lane well, having much better fight potential, the downside though is that to do so, she will have to put herself in a place to be vulnerable to ganks from Khazix. When Orianna does not know where Khazix is, she should be playing safe and farming, however when Khazix's position is known, Orianna can pick up her ball and go for trade damage against Twisted Fate and push him away from the creeps with her ball, standing between him and his own creep line. By dodging Wild Cards and backing off properly from Pick-A-Card, Orianna can deny a lot of CS on TF just through the pressure, and do it to greater effect at level 6. Once again though, she must be very wary of ganks, as Flash stun card will set Khazix up for the kill.

Bot -
Twitch/Janna are going to get bullied by OMG's duo, and there is not much they can do about it. The best bet for Twitch/Janna is just to be defensive, dodging Thresh and using Janna's shield to block as much harassment as possible from Lucian. Will need to be especially careful once Twisted Fate hits level 6.

Jungle -
Fiddlesticks is going to be weak in the jungle, especially against Khazix and his Isolation damage. Good news is that at least he can't stop drain, though that will likely not be enough for Fiddlesticks to survive a 1v1, especially early. Fiddlesticks' core play is simply going to be farm, yet to level 6, and then make plays/engagements against OMG's team. Lots of pinks and an early sweeper will be key to controlling vision.

Lane Match-ups – OMG

Top -
Nidalee has a nice safe lane against Maokai. She will be able to harass him, out-sustain him if they fight trades (until she is out of mana), and will have kill potential if she can land a spear and Hunt Maokai. Will have her highest pressure point as soon as she picks up Trinity Force. Must be aware of early Rengar ganks. Being pushed up too far around level 2-4 could result in her getting caught by the CC and slow of Maokai/Rengar.

Mid -
Twisted Fate does not have much control over this lane. Orianna can bully him out pretty easily and keep him from CS and having any kind of lane pressure. Luckily, TF can attempt to poke and farm from range with his Wild Cards, and hopefully get off a few Pick-A-Card hits for some damage onto Orianna. The one safety net that Twisted Fate will have, is the pressure he can put onto Orianna with the threat of a gank from Khazix. Stun card into Khazix slow will be plenty to kill Orianna if she is pushed up to pressure and deny Twisted Fate. TF should be farming as best he can, getting to his gank potential at 6. Alternately, Twisted Fate can try to bluff Orianna and play aggressive, keeping her worried about the threat of Khazix.

Bot -
Lucian/Thresh should definitely be looking to find the 2v2 lane. They can completely control and bully the duo lane from the very start, and continue to for the entire game. Really all there is to say about it. Hooks/flays and Lucian damage will just overwhelm SHR's duo, and they will have the backup of Twisted Fate when he reaches 6.

Jungle -
Khazix is going to be much stronger than Fiddlesticks in the jungle, and should really look to bully him. Contesting every buff he can, and counter-jungling as much as possible. A Sight Stone might be a good buy this match, just to increase how much vision on Fiddlesticks his team can keep, which will be essential for denying Fiddlesticks ability to gank.

Team Composition/Strategy – Star Horn Royal Club

*Win Condition – I heard you like circles. Massive, massive AoE team-fight ability. 5V5 team-fight and get those Fiddlesticks engagements.

Incoming circle of doom. SHR's strategy is super transparent. Get those 5v5 fights and decimate OMG's team. That's it really. SHR just need to get to 6 and then find the right fights. Vision control will be huge as will manipulating OMG into the right spots. A nice bonus through, is that Twitch is great at finding picks and at stopping split-push, so SHR have this available to them, if OMG focus hard on the split-push. SHR have the ability to force OMG into the team-fights, they just have to make them count.

Team Composition/Strategy – OMG

*Win Condition – Ward. Ward some more. Ward again. Buy a Locket or two. Pick on Fiddles in the jungle.

Did I mention warding? In all seriousness though, that is going to be a huge key to this match. They need to spot Fiddlesticks out and they have to stop him from being able to get into their team. The vision war is going to be huge. Good early invades into the jungle will really set Fiddlesticks behind, but SHR will be watching for this. OMG must coordinate as a team to make the invades happen. No matter what point in the game it is, a bad team-fight could get OMG ACED. Nidalee will need to get strong in the split-push, and carry around a lot of wards. She will need to spot out both Fiddlesticks and Twitch, as they can shut down her split-push quickly. Great reactions will be needed by Twisted Fate if he plans to help out Nidalee. If Nidalee can get ahead enough to split-push, OMG may want to take control of the side of the jungle she is near, and ward it like madmen. Lean towards that side as they harass the mid turret, and be prepared to run in the massive vision direction when trouble heads their way. OMG are going to have to be able to move to help Nidalee and be able to do so in safety against Fiddlesticks.

Game Notes -

OMG go for the typical invade onto SHR's blue against Fiddlesticks, however SHR are ready. OMG had a split moment where they could see that SHR were in the bush, but they miss it and run straight into a 5 man Janna Tornado. SHR get 2 kills for 0. This was just bad play by OMG, they had the warning, and they face check into the bush against a Janna.

With Twisted Fate having used his Flash. Twitch and Janna make a gank right at the start. And force Twisted Fate to base, right as the lanes start and has to blow Ghost.

OMG lane swap for some reason, to let Thresh roam maybe? And SHR take an early dragon.

OMG are able to find Fiddlesticks in the jungle and get a kill with Thresh/Khazix.

Orianna, seeing Fiddlesticks coming in, hits level 6 and instantly uses her ultimate, barely catching Twisted Fate in surprise. Twisted Fate does get away, but turns around thinking he can fight, but Janna comes in and the fear+knock-up allows Orianna to pick up the kill, just barely.

Janna getting assists and Thresh not has really set him behind.

Even with OMG being behind, they have done a good job keeping Fiddlesticks behind.

A very patient Khazix waits for Maokai to push forward and OMG 3 man gank him for the kill. Gives SHR good damage onto the mid turret though.

OMG's duo is able to get a great hook on Twitch, and win the 2v2 fight from behind. However, it lasts long and Fiddlesticks is able to make it top for clean up. OMG try to collapse, but Orianna catches them out. Nidalee could have killed Fiddlesticks, but leaps away instead of forward for the kill.

OMG move into position for dragon, but do not attempt it, they should have with Fiddlesticks ultimate down. Instead they wait till SHR attempt it. Khazix does get the steal. A good Orianna ultimate keeps OMG from retreating but it ends up being a death pit for SHR. OMG get a 4 for 1 and Dragon. OMG do a good job of holding Fiddlesticks back from his ultimate being effective. SHR really want to initiate onto a team doing Dragon, not be initiated upon.

Nidalee ends up 1v1ing Maokai in the top lane, will also earn her the turret.

Twisted Fate uses his ultimate to save bottom turret.

OMG put a lot of pressure into the bottom side jungle of SHR and are rewarded with kills onto the duo of SHR. Maokai TP's in and the fight turns into Fiddlesticks and Maokai diving in with Orianna back up. They do go 2 for 2 in this, and save the turret, but the fight is 4 for 2 over all, and OMG take the dragon.

OMG are holding a 5k gold lead, SHR will need to pull off their insane team-fight to come back. I feel that Twitch should be looking for a pick on Nidalee to deny some of the split-push. However OMG move to man push the middle T2 turret. They do back off when SHR group up to defend.

SHR catch Twisted Fate in their jungle, but Fiddlesticks using both his fear and silence and TF is able to escape using his ultimate.

Fiddlesticks tries to make a solo catch onto Thresh, but it does not do much damage. Now Fiddlesticks ultimate is down and OMG can put huge pressure onto a turret.

Instead, they split up, letting TF clear lanes while OMG take another Dragon.

OMG try to split-push, looking to create an opportunity. The game is in OMG's control, but it is very tense with Fiddlesticks and Twitch on SHR. Slowly they try to get turret damage with Twisted Fate and spend time whittling down SHR's defenses and hoping for a rotational mistake to be made by SHR.

SHR try to make a pick in the mid lane and Twitch/Orianna are so close to getting two kills, but OMG do get away with low HP bars. Two ultimates down for SHR give OMG a window, but they still have to watch out for Fiddlesticks.

OMG are able to get the bottom T2 turret with the Twisted Fate split-push. The whole process takes 8-10 minutes.

OMG are on top of the Dragon timer and kill it as soon as it spawns, preventing SHR from being able to respond in time.

Lucian is able to sneak the mid T2 inhibitor when SHR go for a pick on Nidalee in the top lane.

Twisted Fate is pushing top lane and SHR make a very bold decision to push mid lane. Fiddlesticks is able to get into a great position and since OMG's wards are on SHR's side of the jungle, they don't catch him out. SHR dive into OMG's T2 mid turret and get 3 kills for 0, able to get all of mid. 2 turrets and the inhibitor. With 3 down they run to Baron. SHR take Baron, and 2 more kills, but OMG are able to reach SHR and get 4 kills. Greedy by SHR, but something they desperately needed. Even though they lose the top inhibitor, the trade is huge for SHR, even as it is big for OMG.

OMG back off after the inhibitor, and let a dragon go. SHR are able to nab it and run.

Janna picks up a very late Mejai's, very bad. There is so much more she could pick up. Aegis or Mikael's for two, even just straight AP would be better in this situation.

OMG still have an 11.5k gold lead. However, against SHR's team that does not matter, not until OMG decide to grab 2 MR items a piece, but the likelihood of that is low.

OMG head middle and try to start a fight with Twisted Fate ultimate when Orianna is off to the side. A Great timed Janna Tornado into fear stops Twisted Fate from using his Gold Card and prevents SHR from getting caught. This draws OMG into a fight and SHR get off their massive damage team-fight and take a 4 for 1 and rush down middle for the win, but are only able to take the mid inhibitor and both Nexus turrets.

OMG use Twisted Fate ultimate and Nidalee TP to catch 3 members of SHR in the retreat. Now SHR are in trouble. OMG are able to take both top and middle inhibitor. OMG get over greedy going for the bottom inhibitor as well, and it lets Orianna/Maokai/Fiddlesticks destroy them, getting 3 kills in a 4v5 and then SHR run middle for the win and with an open Nexus they have an easy win from here.

End Game Notes -

That second dragon by SHR was too forced and it really put them onto the back foot instead of being in decent control of the game.

OMG played great after that, slowly controlling the map and avoiding the team-fight prowess of SHR, unfortunately all it took was 1 unexpected play by SHR and then some over zealousness at the end by OMG.

SHR getting the team-fight in the middle, at OMG's T2 mid turret was really bold and it payed off well.

What OMG should have done -

The level 1 fight hurt them, but they were able to recover from it and take the lead. They then controlled the map. They did get caught at their T2 mid turret, a slight lapse in vision control and the unexpected nature of SHR's bold play caught OMG off guard. OMG were able to recover though and even take 2 inhibitors in time against SHR.

OMG got greedy though, and worried about another team-fight disaster that had just happened, and try to take a third inhibitor. OMG should have just backed off, regrouped, and then made their way slowly into SHR's base using the super creeps to their advantage.

Going forward, OMG just need to keep it up. This game was well played, and only lost by a small mistake and some over zealousness. Be smarter about the level 1, that was just bad play, walking into Janna.

Lane Match-ups – OMG

Top -
Rumble should be fine, if not stronger in this lane match-up, but it will be close. Rumble can bully Mundo early, getting good slows and flamethrowers, however as the lane progresses it will be harder for Rumble to bully Mundo, especially when Spectre's Cowl comes into play. Rumble should look to bully as much as he can, and transition into a stronger mid-game before Mundo can take over the lane.

Mid -
Jayce should be even against Lulu, able to farm and get his poke off. He will have to worry about Lulu's harass though. If Jayce is in range, and notices Lulu's shield and Q are down, he can hop in to do a good amount of trade damage and then knock her away without taking much in return. Things will get trickier at level 6, when Lulu gets her ultimate, but Jayce should still feel safe enough to farm and harass without worrying about being killed.

Bot -
Corki/Morgana are going to be pretty even against Lucian/Thresh lane both Corki and Lucian provide comparable trade/harass and both Morgana and Thresh need to hit their skillshots and shield their carries. There is outplay potential on both sides, as a faked hook can lead to Morgana using her Black Shield wrong.

Jungle -
Lee Sin should look to make plays against Mundo early on, as he is vulnerable to ganks, while moving to mid with Jayce at 6.

Lane Match-ups – Star Horn Royal Club

Top -
Mundo is going to get a bit bullied early one, Rumble having high sustained damage from the get go. Mundo however, should be safe enough to get his farm, or even just cleaver farm if necessary. As the lane progresses, Mundo will have an easier and easier time, especially when level 6 and first items come into play. Spectre's Cowl and Spirit Visage will give Mundo an edge against Rumble and he will then be able to start bullying Rumble in the lane.

Mid -
Lulu is going to be fairly safe against Jayce, able to farm and attempt to get off her harassment. She should try to hide behind the creep wave, to stop Jayce from poking her. The all-in potential is going to be on Jayce, especially before 6, but Lulu does have the ability to whittle him down with some well timed shields and Q's. If she does not also get poked, then eventually Lulu may be able to go in for the kill. Most of her influence is going to outside of the lane though.

Bot -
Corki/Morgana are going to be pretty even against Lucian/Thresh lane both Corki and Lucian provide comparable trade/harass and both Morgana and Thresh need to hit their skillshots and shield their carries. There is outplay potential on both sides, as a faked hook can lead to Morgana using her Black Shield wrong.

Jungle -
Khazix is going to need to protect Mundo in this match-up, make sure that he does not get dove early and fall behind. Outside of protecting Mundo, making a gank onto the bot lane and going for Morgana can be successful.

Team Composition/Strategy – OMG

*Win Condition – Win the mid-game with the power of Corki/Jayce/Rumble. Snowball that into a win. Siege and bully turrets if a lead is generated.

A very similar team to last game, lots of early and mid-game power. OMG will want to make plays early with Lee Sin, especially onto Mundo, as he is weak to ganks and even dives. The turret sieging power will be a little bit weaker, with Khazix/Lulu having strong wave clear on SHR's side and OMG having a little less control without Khazix. There is still a lot of bully power for OMG at turrets and at objectives though. It will be a lot harder for OMG to dive with Lulu/Thresh on SHR's team. Eh, much of the same for this game as last. Get early dragons, make early skirmishes and ganks to take the lead and snowball from there.

Team Composition/Strategy – Star Horn Royal Club

*Win Condition – Be a big old strong front line and outlast OMG's damage.

As strange as that tagline is, it has its truth to it. Mundo will be huge when backed up by Lulu. Insane HP and regen coming out of him. Mundo is going to be able to outlast whatever damage OMG can put down. As long as Lulu and Lucian stay safe they should be able to take OMG in a straight up fight. The quick dash of Lucian will get him out of Rumble's ultimate while Khazix can wait for the right moments to leap in for resets. Thresh can get very good solid picks for his team as well. I like this composition against OMG. It's like saying, Rawr, I'm a giant wall coming at you, see if you can take me down. With the sustained damage of OMG being a little lacking, SHR are looking to reach a point where they just out last through what OMG are able to provide.

Game Notes -

A solid hook onto Corki earns SHR a ton of damage onto OMG's duo and actually pushes them out. OMG send the duo top to avoid the SHR lane now. Mundo gets a nice little lead because of this and SHR follow OMG to the top lane.

Again OMG's duo run to the bot lane. We end up with Lucian alone up top and a 5v4 near the bot lane. Quickly turns into a 5v5 and a big skirmish. SHR are able to push OMG back, and get more CS onto Lucian while denying Corki. The CS difference has grown to over 20.

When OMG show their duo top again, SHR take the dragon as OMG take the top lane. OMG taking top with Lee Sin does give the red buff steal to SHR.

Big skirmish over the Blue buff of SHR ends up with Thresh getting a hook, and the fight goes entirely SHR's way. First Blood to Lucian and +1 kill to Thresh.

OMG are able to take their second turret, the middle when SHR back to shop and heal.

Mundo goes to check and clear the red buff, but Lee Sin is there with Rumble having just taken it. I think Mundo walked past the pink ward without seeing it.

SHR's duo puts so much damage onto Corki and Morgana, but Jayce being nearby stops them from taking the turret or diving. It does let SHR get 2/3 damage onto the mid turret. Jayce leaves bottom to protect mid and SHR take the bottom.

SHR are doing great, keeping up a lead and having the strength in their ADC. Dragon is up, but Mundo and Rumble both need to shop first, hopefully Mundo can get his Visage before Corki can get his Trinity Force. That would give SHR full advantage over dragon. A big fight starts at Dragon, but Lulu is split form here team. OMG turn and chase her, disengaging from SHR. This earns SHR 3 kills for 1 and they move back to dragon and get it. Rumble getting behind Lulu to trap here was very good.

The split up of SHR is the only reason why OMG won that fight though.

Morgana goes for a deep ward, way too deep, and just gets caught and killed for free. Don't solo ward people.

The lantern save by Thresh comes up huge.

SHR need to back off for a little bit, get that Deathcap on Lulu and Statik Shiv on Lucian before fighting again. This will help them through the current power-spike of OMG.

Morgana is going for Zhonya's instead of Mikael's. I expect/hope this to bite OMG in the backside.

OMG split up trying to get fights on both sides of the mid lane, but they find them 1 by one instead of as a group and SHR are able to push them away and get one kill, both teams collapse. SHR stay to fight even with lower HP bars and less poke. The fight ends up going in OMG's favor 4 to 3 and OMG get dragon. The fight was really really close and you can't honestly fault either side for it.

SHR get caught at their red, right when they respawn and OMG get 2 for 0 this time around.

OMG are starting to generate a lead, but it is only 3k and their power-spike timing is going to start to wane soon.

SHR decide to send everyone top, able to avoid the wards off OMG and they are able to get a pick, killing Lee Sin in his jungle and are able to finally get the top outer turret.

OMG try to get a sneaky Baron, but they get caught by a Scrying Orb.

Thresh flay saves his life against Lee Sin, tossing Lee Sin to the side as he gets kicked. Sends Thresh safely over the wall. Super slick, most likely an accident, but if not, amazing. This burns both Lee Sin and Rumble ultimates.

OMG make a good call to go for Baron, but SHR respond fast enough and OMG do not back off quick enough. We get to see the wall that is Mundo/Lulu take over and chase down OMG. SHR get 3 kills, move to Baron, get another kill when Lee Sin tries to steal it, and then SHR get Baron. The gold has now swung into SHR's favor, and OMG are falling off their power-spike and Mundo is hitting wall status.

OMG take dragon while SHR dilly dally near mid. Free dragon for OMG when it didn't need to be.

SHR do some good rotating between top and mid and are able to take mid without a fight, then push top, drawing out ultimates from OMG, and waiting for OMG to back off after. Top T2 to SHR.

OMG have nothing to be able to deal with Mundo, they just do not have enough sustained damage.

OMG try to get back to the siege play, but its just too late. They would need to be able to siege for a good 2 minutes to do enough damage to Mundo to turn a fight into their favor.

OMG try for Baron again, but SHR bring the same fight to OMG. However this time they are able to split Mundo from his team, and to get him to use his ultimate to get in. The wall is not really there. Both teams get away low. SHR push mid to force a delay in OMG going to Baron. SHR delay enough time to get their ultimates back up, and OMG try again, and get pushed off. With SHR having their ultimates back up, they are able to take Baron, but get stuck in the bit against OMG, whose ultimates have come back up as well. Fight goes 3 for in OMG's favor, but SHR are able to get the Baron so overall win for SHR and with Khazix still up they go and sneak dragon.

OMG try to fight at SHR's T2 bottom turret, but Mundo is able to be this huge deadly front line and SHR are able to slowly move towards OMG and eventually catch them, kill Rumble/Morgana and then push all the way into the bottom inhibitor and take it.

OMG should just dive into the fight middle, when Mundo is pushing top, its their only hope, but they try too late and lose 2 members before a fight even begins and SHR are able to push for the win.

Item Notes -

I heard you like Mikael's to stop hooks? Must have heard wrong.

End Game Notes -

I heard you like to throw pebbles at walls?

This game was just Mundo getting way too big simply because of how late the game went and with OMG lacking sustained damage, Mundo was able to be a moving wall to crush OMG with his team following behind him.

The Baron fight was the clinch that gave SHR the game.

SHR did a good job of staying close to even for most of the early-mid game and were able to make it to the crushing late game.

Item choices by OMG, going for that mid-game spike with no eggs put into high DPS late-game helped to make Mundo unstoppable.

What OMG should have done -

Push harder and longer. They really needed to use their power-spike to take objectives and get into SHR's base, not to spend their power-spike time brawling in the jungle and making even or barely winning trades. If OMG has just, focused on turrets, they could have rotated around the map, creating a solid gold lead during their power-spike and then have moved to say Baron or even an inhibitor siege. They gave SHR too much time to scale up. This the problem with a brawl play-style. Even if you come out ahead, your enemies get the gold they need as well. Unless you take like 4-1 or X-0 then its just not worth it. You can get you gold other ways, without giving up any to the other team. If OMG had just sieged, they could have taken turrets, prevented SHR from getting gold by keeping them under a turret, and eventually gotten gold themselves from objectives. This style extends the power-spike of mid-game teams and decelerates the scaling of late-game compositions. Of course if you do brawl and get big wins, then you can get a lead that can't be overcome, but it is a risk that is unnecessary.

Having said that rant. OMG didn't throw the game, as they had not won yet, but handed the game over to SHR by getting greedy at Baron. They didn't back off of the TP, and they didn't properly clear wards. That pink ward in the corner? Why? It offers nothing but less vision range. This was OMG nailing their own coffin this time around.

Going forward, I know OMG won't stop the brawl and won't focus on objectives when they need to, but they really should. I expect them to run something very simlar, and they hoenstly should, they are winning the mid and early game. Don't let SHR get Lucian, take Lucian, ban Corki since OMG have the blue side, or visa versa. Keep that very strong ADC to yourself and away from SHR.

Lane Match-ups – Star Horn Royal Club

Top -
Irelia should be running into an even match-up in this game. She will be able to sustain through at least some of the large amount of damage Rumble is able to provide, while being able to trade/burst him better than he will be able to on her. The trade is, Rumble's sustain will be higher, and Irelia will have to make sure not to sit in Flamespitter. As long as she is able to make it past the first few levels, this match should start to turn way into her favor, especially around level 6. Good use her dash and creep manipulating can allow her to escape after her trade damage, or to dodge out of Rumble's ultimate. Irelia can look to get a Hexdrinker first, though it will delay her Trinity Force it will give her huge safety and strength against Rumble.

Mid -
Orianna has to be careful in this match-up. It is one that she can win, or even dominate, however its quite fragile. Orianna's ability to duel and to respond to trade damage is strong, and against Jayce, as long as she can survive his trade/burst, she can put out much more sustained damage and win the 1v1. The counter to this, is that Jayce has great poke and can get Orianna into kill range with 1 or 2 good shock blasts. Orianna will have to hide behind creep waves while farming with her ball. Ball movements are going to be a little tricky, as Orianna will want to try to harass Jayce with it, however when the ball is far from her, Jayce will be able to have a safer all-in or trade damage. In the end, Orianna should focus on farming, and wait for an opportunity to capitalize on Jayce making a mistake. Carrying Exhaust will really drain the kill potential from Jayce as well.

Bot -
Tristana/Zilean is quite a weak lane. While Zilean can provide decent harassment, he offers no protection Tristana until level 6, and with Tristana being weak in lane, these two do not really work together as a bot lane duo. SHR should look for the lane swap, and keep it going until both are level 6. The downside to this though, is that Thresh is a much better roamer and will be able to provide more presence around the map if the 2v1 lanes occur. If the 2v2 lanes do happen, then SHR's duo will have to be very careful about Thresh, as they have weak ability in any trade/all-in compared to Thresh/Twitch. Even at 6, they will be at the disadvantage. SHR's duo is really going to need to just play safe, and transition to team-fighting at an earlier than normal point.

Jungle -
Jarvan will have a stronger early-game than Khazix and should seek to use it. Every lane has an opportunity for him to make a play, as no lane has any natural escapes. Irelia will make the best lane to gank, as the double CC will work wonders against Rumble. As level 4/5 is reached, Jarvan should really be seeking to burn a Flash in one of the lanes if they have not already been burned, and then return at level 6 for the guaranteed lock-down and very likely kill. If Jarvan is able to make his presence felt this match, he can really shift the lanes into his team's favor.

Lane Match-ups – OMG

Top -
Rumble should be having an even match-up with Irelia, especially early on, though it will start to shift around level 5/6. Rumble will need to use his Flamespitter to deal as much damage over time to Irelia, potentially pushing her off of creeps early, to compensate for the stronger all-in damage that Irelia has. Making good use of Rumble's ultimate will be key after level 6, and he must make sure that Irelia cannot dash away from it using creeps. If Rumble can get a lead, then he should be able to take the 1v1 with his double Mpen items, however even when ahead he will be very susceptible to ganks and will need to pay close attention to them.

Mid -
Jayce will have a slight bit of control in this match-up, even though he may lose trades or all-ins. The potential for Jayce lies in his poke and his lack of need to engage onto Orianna. Just farming and trying to get Shock Blasts onto Orianna will be enough to control the lane, or at least keep it as a farm fest. If Jayce is able to get enough poke down, and/or Orianna or her ball are in a bad position, Jayce can head in for more harassment and trade damage. If Orianna's ball is in bad spot, Jayce can hop in and knock-back Orianna, getting mostly free damage due to the travel time of Command: Protect. At 6, Jayce will have to be more careful, but will still be able to safely farm and keep control.

Bot -
Thresh/Twitch can pretty easily dominate their lane, mostly because of the power of Thresh against SHR's duo. From level one he should be seeking to get down harassment or even cause a full on engagement. After level 1, any hook can be followed up for solid trade damage, especially as Thresh is simply able to take more damage than Zilean, and Twitch will be able to provide more than Tristana. OMG's lane has full control in this lane, on top of having Thresh, who if the 2v1 does occur, will be able to provide more help than Zilean around the map.

Jungle -
Khazix is going to be able to offer a lot less this match than Jarvan will be able to. Luckily, his lanes, other than top, are stronger and safer than their lane opponents. Khazix should look to farm and scale up, getting to 6 where he can poke well with Jayce. While farming, he should pay attention to the top lane, as Rumble is going to be the most vulnerable to a gank.

Team Composition/Strategy – Star Horn Royal Club

*Win Condition – Make it to late game and then win.

I generally would like the SHR team composition. They have great late-game strength, good engage, a solid amount of safety with Zilean and Orianna, and some mid-game power with Irelia and the Orianna/Jarvan combo. There is a lot of potential in this composition, however against OMG's team, it's going to almost be like trying to hold back an avalanche. OMG's team is so mid-game focused and so great at tower cracking compared to SHR's defenses, that I'm not sure that SHR can hold on to the late game. SHR are going to need to find a lead early, be it through aggressive ganks or some well managed lane swaps. Get Irelia strong early will be important as she is the mid-game power of SHR. Immediate ganks onto Jayce with Jarvan 6 will be good too. It's just going to be hard for SHR and they have to work to win this match-up.

Team Composition/Strategy – OMG

*Win Condition – Use the mid-game power-spike to control the map and take neutral objectives, transition into tower siege/brute force to take them down then back off. Turn objectives into a gold lead.

OMG's team is very strong in the mid-game. All of their champions are much stronger than SHR from roughly the 10-20 minute mark, aside from Irelia who is even with Rumble. OMG will need to use this window of time to bully SHR around. Take dragon, take fights to the neutral objectives of SHR, and force SHR to fight. When there is nothing up to take in the jungle, then move to towers. As 5 OMG can bully SHR off the turrets. Poke with Jayce, disengage with Rumble or even toss his ultimate at the tower to force SHR away while they kill it. The name of the game is, bully SHR and do not let up. Get a lead and the snowball it to the win. SHR will need quite awhile to catch up, even if at even gold with OMG.

Game Notes -

SHR are taking a guess at where OMG are after seeing them pass a ward. We get a blue buff dance 5v5. Nobody wants to back off. Eventually OMG are able to get the blue buff, but Thresh almost pays for it. OMG come out ahead with blue buff and 1 summoner.

Rumble barely survives a top lane dive. SHR's duo do shove him out of lane though and force him to use his TP and Flash. If Zilean's Ignite had been up, most likely there would have been a kill.

SHR move their duo to the bot lane, now that Tristana can grab a pick-ax, and with the TP advantage that Irelia has. Irelia is really far behind Rumble right now though.

Thresh properly saves his hook, after using flay, for when Zilean uses the flash. Thresh goes down, but OMG are able to pick up 2 kills for 1, and burn Irelia's TP for no gain. (Where was the Tristana Rocket Jump away).

OMG head to dragon when Rumble's TP is back up and they take it without contest. Rumble Teleports bottom to try for a bad engage and ultimate. Rumble sticks around a bit longer than expected and when Jarvan ganks for SHR it goes bad and OMG take 3 kills for 1.

OMG go to harass the blue buff of SHR, but its already down. Lucian is able to bait SHR into a fight though and OMG are able to go 2 for 1. Trading better again and OMG take both top/mid, completing the removal of SHR's outer ring of turrets.

An attempted Dragon steal by SHR ends up with them giving up 4 kills to OMG.

OMG turn to start their tower bullying. Jayce and Khazix poking while Lucian knocks on the turret.

SHR make a last ditch effort engage, but it is when Irelia has backed off to heal. I think its because Jarvan got himself caught that he decided to go in, otherwise it was just bad. SHR were low and had no hope of winning that fight. It ended up with OMG getting 2 kills and the turret and then Baron. If the coffin was nailed before this fight, now its been buried 6 feet under. OMG have Baron, 11k gold lead, which is 30k to 41k, over 30% lead. Game is over. OMG will just brute force their way to the win.

End Game Notes -

OMG got a leg up early, and rolled with it. Their composition was just that much stronger early on and with Irelia get shut down by the lane swaps, OMG had all the control they could want.

What Star Horn Royal should have done -

Not pick such a heavy late-game composition. It would work better with say, Lee Sin/Nami or Janna/and Maokai/Irelia. This would give some stronger mid-game power whose weakness to a stronger mid-game focused team could be overcome by 5v5 synergy. The whole composition they fielded just felt wonky and had to have a good early-game to have any chance of succeeding.

Oops on that level 1. SHR really got screwed by it and everyone but Orianna behind. SHR ran head long into bad fights after this, perhaps to try to recover, understanding that they needed to, or just for bad choices. Who knows.

Going forward I hope SHR just, laugh this one off, look at the compositions and how out-matched they were, and move into a more solid composition next round. Flesh out that support pick, and a different jungler, at least with this team composition.
